Finding your movie at Monument Valley

The Navajo Nation’s Monument Valley Park is the site of one of the most iconic landscapes of the American Southwest. With its towering sandstone figures seemingly appearing to jut of a flat desert ground, the park is a great destination for artists and photographers in addition to mainstream visitors. The tribal park’s visitor center offers a thorough museum highlighting the history of the park and touches upon important events in the Navajo nation’s history – the museum also illuminates the current events and issues faced by the nation as well as its rich artistic and cultural history. The View restaurant offers a majestic view for diners as they enjoy house-made fry bread, a staple. The park is a great way to experience not only the views, but also the history and culture that makes Monument Valley special.
