Breathe with trees

At the U.S. National Arboretum in Northeast Washington, DC, visitors and scientists alike get to enjoy the variety of trees on site. The arboretum, operated by the United States Department of Agriculture, is home to all 50 states trees. Much like a botanical garden with trees at its focus, visitors have the opportunity to learn about plants and their native ecosystems. Fun fact: The columns shown in the photo are actually the old columns from the U.S. Capitol building!
